| Buried oil tanks raise increasingly raise environmental, safety, legal and economic concerns for property owners. Back in 1961, traditional heating oil tank installation procedures recommended oil storage tanks be buried. New concerns about leakage and environmental pollution raise warnings about buried tanks. In the Northeast where tanks are older, as many as 50% of underground tanks presently installed may leak. ENVIROspect is uniquely positioned to determine whether a problem exists and take any necessary action.ENVIROspect is committed to providing environmentally responsible solutions to sources of potential contamination. In compliance with all federal and state regulations, ENVIROspect provides labor and equipment to: excavate the underground storage tank to the surface; disconnect tank from fill, vent, supply and return lines and remove any remaining bulk liquids. ENVIROspect examines the tank bed integrity for visible signs of contamination. The tank is removed and disposed as scrap metal. All waste petroleum sludge and petroleum contaminated debris will be drummed for subsequent disposal. Disposal manifest and paperwork documenting the removal of the tank are provided to the client. | | |
